WE ARE so thankful for the moisture

Once again this winter Kanab has received 10 inches of very wet snow! This will really help the dry land we have around here. The world was very pretty and white when I woke up this morning, and it wet and muddy this evening. It was so nice to be able to be in a warm home and look outside to see the snow, knowing I didn't need to go out and be in the weather. I'm grateful for the much needed moisture we have been blessed with.

It has got a quick start!

Here is a picture of Uncle Frank and Don... we visited some family. We also got to visit with Troy's family and Cory and his family, along with their foreign exchange student, Monica, from Puebla, Mexico.

we worked on putting together a large (29X36) puzzle on the Zinn's pool table, which is a Christmas tradition. Marcy had to finish it, after we worked on it for a week.

Becky and Jason wanted to make a Gingerbread House.... So we did! They enjoyed eating it after Christmas too! It was a fun reminder of what the Vances use to do when Marcy, Danette and Cory were little. Our Christmas was a fun and enjoyable time. We also exerienced some 14 degree below zero temperature on Christmas morning. COOOLLDDD Temperatures. Now I'm saying...'I'm glad we live in a warmer country.'

I did it ... I stayed up to hear the canon go off at midnight here in Kanab. Mom and Don were in bed, snoring at midnight! SOOOO Here it is a New Year! it seemed to come on the run! May you all have a good and properous New Year... it might not be monetary, but full of many eternal blessings.

white everywhere

YES we have a blanket of white snow outside. The temperature this morning was -3 at 7:30AM. I know some of you have more snow, cooler temperature, but this is cold enough for me! In Richfield it is -21! Last night the electricity was off about 6:30 for a couple of hours. I'm very grateful for electricity! It was a great invention!

can you read petroglyphics?

See the view looking out from the way to in the caves. You are looking West toward Kanab.

Some friends with Don and I saw some interesting color on the edge of the hills such as these ones. It reminds me of red trees painted on the side of a white sandstone hill.

We (friends, Don and I) climbed to a cave where we found some interesting carvings.
It was an enjoyable day.

what a change, take on a new look

Yep Don has given his wheels a new look. He took the blue 'kidnapper' off and added the white shell. The price was right and it fit! (free for the taking)

One of those fun times.

Joe, Louise and the girls came to see grandma. We took them to Skinny Caves also known as Peek-a-Boo Caves. Mom rode with us on the Rhino and 4 wheeler. It was a fun fast trip. We'd love to show any of you if you want a fun ride.
