Once again...

I couldn't believe it but, we took another trip to the Valley. Randy Vance's mother passed away on the 27th of August in Texas at the age of 85, after an extended illness as Aunt Pearl. So we took a trip to the San Luis Valley to see the family and pay our respects. Gatha and Bonnie went up with us. We were able to see the Zinns and Vances as well. Here is a picture of Gatha with Randy Vance.

Aunt Pearl

The funeral was very nice. All three of her sons talked. The girls said it was their position to do the crying and the boys the talking. Uncle Frank is going to be really lost without Aunt Pearl. I'm so glad they were able to help each other the way they did. I was very happy with Uncle Frank while he cared for his bride the way he did. Those in the picture on left: Sally, Frankie, Tommy, Ricky, Uncle Frank, Peggy (Bonnie is in the picture on the right holding the umbrella next to Uncle Frank)

RAIN, YES, RAIN

WE ARE SO GRATEFUL FOR THE RAIN WE HAVE RECEIVED AND ARE RECEIVING TODAY! So far we have got 1/2 inch. It will really help the corn and garden.

I have tried a new recipe.... green apple butter... Don decided to thin the apple tree and brought in some green apples from our golden delicious tree. So far the 1st recipe I did with splenda is pretty good! I might of used a touch too much cloves, but it is delicious.
