fam reunion
It was a fun day in New Mexico sharing and visiting with the family. I will have to post some pictures of the fun for all to see. The food was delicious. It was fun to see those whom we had not see for a while. Afterwards we went to CO, spending the night on top of the pass and sleeping under the stars sharing the morning with the heavy dew! We were able to help the Zinns collect some firewood to start the winter. We were able to visit with the Hooper Vances. We got to attend the Manassa Parade on Friday and able to wish Marcy an early Happy Birthday! It was fun.

Back from camping
Don and I went up high on the Boulder Mountain this past week to camp and fish, and fish. It was about 11,000 feet in altitude. Don was able to get his raft out on lake named Purple! I didn't want to float with him, so I stood, watched and took pictures. We camped next to our neighbors here (Frank and Bonnie Swapp and some of their family). We took the smaller tent (which is a story within itself if you ask). We pulled both wheelers on our large trailer, up some very steep hills. We took cots, but they do not fit in the small tent, and Don decided he could sleep better on the cot, so he slept outside the tent and I slept inside. The temperature averaged around 42 degrees at 6:00 each morning. There are several lakes around that area we camped, one is the one where he got lost two years ago. There was still snow piles in areas around. I was glad to get back to Kanab to warm up! We were both so tired when we got home on Wednesday afternoon that we unloaded the food, showered and vegged out the rest of the day, (Don went to bed early after a nap). There was a lot of quiet up there, not many people around. We did see a dead elk which the guys felt was killed by a boar bear up higher than our camp. I felt we were watched over on our trip and protected as we unwound from life and came back tired but refreshed. Some day we would take you all up there if you would like to go. It is pretty country, you can see forever as you travel up to the top. Once you get to were we fished and camped you would say you were 'on the top of the world' as Arlo would say.
