DON VANCE FAMILY WEEKEND NEWS

The Zinns said they got ½ inch of rain this last weekend, it is cold. It was 22 degrees this morning (Monday 13th), so the wood stove is getting back into working order. School is going forward and they are still playing ‘catch up’ since they got a late start because of not getting their materials and computers early enough. But all is going forward.

11 Oct 2008 Saturday Morning at 10:12: The snow is falling pretty hard. It’s covering the ground almost completely. An hour ago there were no signs of this white stuff. Gary kept debating what to do for their campout on Friday night. Instead of going into Ogden where they would then hike into camp they went to the church farms, which is only a few miles from where we live. HOWever, I wonder if they had their tents down before this sticky-wet substance starting dumping out of the sky. Thankfully, this last week I planted my tulips (I got some for my birthday) Just two days ago I went and bought the kids who needed a coat for the winter one. It makes me wonder if the framers almanac is going to right. What kind of winter is head????? (Hansens)

Mon, 13 Oct 2008 Thanks for the info. we have had rain, snow in the mountains around us, and very strong cold wind. However they did finish potato harvest Friday 10th around 4 pm and so Cory was home at 6 pm for the first time in 6 weeks, and he had Saturday 11th off the first one in 6 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Vances)

Here in Kanab we are feeling the cold air and wind. There was a few seconds snow flurry on Saturday, but no snow here in Kanab to measure. Don went to Cedar Mountain to work today (13th) and he said it is COLD up there.

GOOD NEWS ALSO....ADAM HAS EARNED HIS EAGLE SCOUT AWARD TO BE PRESENTED NEXT MONTH AROUND THANKSGIVING TIME. we are proud of him for his perservance!

If you were still living in Alamosa, you could call it the Courier. Since you're scattered from Jaroso to norther Utah, you're going to have to come up with a different name for your news. What will it be?
